The 150-year-old American tire manufacturer, Goodyear, is a household name in the US thanks to its exhaustive range of tires present in almost every category, including all-season, all-terrain, winter, summer, ultra-high-performance, rugged-terrain, mud-terrain, and all-weather. Goodyear is accredited for many state-of-the-art breakthroughs and innovations in the tire industry, including the tubeless tire, all-weather tread, pneumatic aircraft tire, Aquatred technology, and many more.
Among its all-season range of tires is the Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season. A decade-old tire that continues to enjoy great popularity among top-tier all-season tire buyers, the tire delivers precise steering response and cornering stability typical of a performance tire, while its innovative compound ensures a confident grip on dry, wet, and even light snowy roads.
Built with a special asymmetric tread pattern, the Eagle Sport focuses on consistent performance throughout the tire's life by using full-depth sipes that maintain biting edges for traction even as the tread wears down. Covered by a built-in rim protector and a generous mileage warranty, the Goodyear tire promises superior overall performance.

Features and Benefits
All-season tires are designed to provide balanced performance in wet, dry, and light winter conditions around the year. By blending flexible rubber compounds with moderate tread depths, they offer a quiet ride and long-lasting durability.
The Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season checks most of the boxes to qualify for a decent all-season tire; let’s explore its features and their corresponding benefits:
- Superior grip and traction - With an asymmetric tread design, the tire provides a high-performance feel by optimizing the contact patch for superb braking, rapid acceleration, and precise cornering grip in all seasons. Meanwhile, the innovative all-season rubber compound delivers outstanding performance in both wet and dry conditions while enhancing grip in light snow and icy weather.
- Full-depth sipes - The numerous deep sipes of the Eagle Sport provide biting edges throughout the tread area for consistent, confident traction on slick roads - even as the tire wears down over time.
- Enhanced durability - While its RaceWrap construction uses a special two-ply sidewall that wraps around the bead and extends under the steel belts to enhance steering response and handling stability, the use of a built-in rim protector defends wheels against accidental curb damage. Additionally, strengthening the inner structure are twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide to maintain uniform ride quality and high-speed capability.
- Improved wet performance – With the help of wide circumferential grooves, the Goodyear all-season tire efficiently evacuates water from the tread to reduce the risk of hydroplaning and improve wet weather performance.
- Long-lasting tread life - Backed by a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty and a 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, the Eagle Sport All-Season returns long-term reliability and peace of mind.
The Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season is available in a wide range of tire sizes, including 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22.

Scariest tires I've had in the rain. Lasts a long time though. Pretty noisy too.
My only problem is the false advertising. They list my series as 275. Which is about 10.75 inches. These look skinny so I measured the tread width. In all actuality they measure 222 m. Which is only 8.75 inches. That's 2 inches narrower then advertised. I guess Chili doesn't know how to use a measuring device. False Advertising...
The tires are fine until one could no longer hold air. Went out and looked at it, and realized chinks of the tread were missing. Not just in one spot, but around much of us circumference of the tire. This was mostly on the outer part of the tread (Not the sidewall) The inner part of the tread was literally peeling off. I would not recommend this tire or this tire compound. These tires had maybe 20,000 miles on them. Mostly highway driving. Garbage.
I've been driving on Goodyear tires for a good 20 years with three F-150s so thought I'd give Goodyear a try with my Fusion as well and so far am very pleased. Obviously the handling of a car is vastly different than an F-150 and they corner well, go around curves at speeds without issues, and are responsive during evasive braking. The noise level is good at this price point and is only noticeable at highway speeds, assuming that your car has good insulation and sound deadening material from factory. Wet handling is also good at this price point whether it's light rain or torrential downpours. I have no expense with these in the snow as it almost never snows in Texas. What I like best about these tires are that the sidewalls look very nice especially after a coat of gel tire dressing. They stay black with no brown spots unlike tires from other manufacturers. I think a tire salesperson I spoke to told me years ago that Goodyear has TrueBlack, or some marketing name, given to a black compound they use in their tires to keep them black for a long time. This comes in handy if you have tendency to rub the curb turning right at red lights. I chose a .45 instead of .50 aspect ratio (not recommended by any manufacturer LOL) to decrease the sidewalls about 10mm for a lower profile tire. Last, these tires have a built-in wheel guard "lip" that protects your rims from curb rash with very minor hits. If you run a curb at full speed like my sister did with my car that rubber lip will not help you or your wheels. I like these so much I bought another set for a different car. Great smooth ride. It's like a new car, albeit 15 years old.
